✈️🍔 SRQ’s Concourse B Gets a Major Upgrade: More Dining, Less Waiting

SRQ Airport is transforming Concourse B with a lineup of new dining and drink options to meet the needs of its growing passenger base.

What’s new: By the end of the year, Concourse B will feature:

• Mattison’s Restaurant – A local gem known for fresh, locally sourced dishes.

• Motorworks Brewing Bar – Bradenton’s craft beer favorite.

• Wahlburgers – The popular burger chain replaces Tap & Pour.

• Huey Magoo’s Chicken – Takes over the current Kona Bar space.

• Salty Key Bar – A new option near gates B9-B14, replacing Dunkin'.

• Renovated Starbucks – Expect a fresh new look.

The timeline: Upgrades will roll out in phases, with all venues expected to open by the next peak travel season. SRQ President Rick Piccolo acknowledges some temporary construction headaches but promises big payoffs.

Zoom out: This overhaul follows the success of Concourse A’s additions like Patrick’s, Anna Maria Oyster Bar, and Peet’s Coffee. SRQ is doubling down on quality amenities to keep up with its rapid growth.

What’s next: Expect some closures and relocations during the revamp (Starbucks is temporarily operating from a kiosk). SRQ advises travelers to plan ahead and stay tuned for the fresh new look.

The bottom line: Concourse B’s new lineup is all about local flavor, convenience, and keeping pace with SRQ’s booming popularity.

The menu is rooted in Puglia, a southern region of Italy known for its simple, fresh ingredients and traditional flavors, giving the dishes a unique touch you don’t see everywhere.

High-quality handmade pasta transported us back to our time in Italy and sparked plans to go back soon.

Every entrée is under $30, and not only does Chef Ciro come out to talk with guests, but he made an excellent wine recommendation for us.

It’s the kind of place where good quality food and a welcoming atmosphere come together effortlessly — highly recommended.
