For his farewell, Webb is mixing old favorites with fresh choreography, highlighting both the dancers’ talent and the company’s growth since he took over in 2007. The season will open with a tribute to choreographer Sir Frederick Ashton, whose work helped shape Sarasota Ballet’s reputation on the national stage.

Christ Church Kicks Off Season with Successful Food Drive

Christ Church of Longboat Key kicked off its season with a “Welcome Back” food drive, collecting more than 1,500 pounds of donations for All Faiths Food Bank. The event drew over 100 parishioners who dropped off nonperishable goods, enjoyed fellowship, and marked the church’s return to its busy fall schedule. The congregation plans to hold similar community outreach efforts throughout the season.
